dpkg tutorial – Package Manager for Ubuntu / Debian

dpkg or the debian package manager is package manager for debian and other debian based Linux distributions like Ubuntu. dpkg can be used for a variety of purposes

  1. Installation of packages
  2. Removal of packages
  3. Knowing the current state of a package
  4. Cloning a machine
